Notes: Attached to the first panel with a drawn paper clip is the note, "Due to our reader's (sic) request, we are happy to bring you the sequel to 'The Perfect Planet,' (Mystic 23 Sept 1953) published in last month's issue of Astonishing Magazine!"

The first page of this story tells of the original search for a habitable planet. The second page recaps the story from Mystic 23.
On page 3 there's a "Lord of the Flies" type scene where the men start to revolt against the spaceship captain, who still thinks he should be in charge. Then, just as things are starting to get ugly, a noise miraculously comes over the radio!

On page 4, we learn that the Earth people have "discovered an X-beam, that can cover and receive from any point in the galaxy." The earth group note that most people died but fortunately "a sudden mutation" allowed a small percentage to live. The lonely men encourage them to come to the planet they discovered.

Page 5, the 4 astronauts are still rebellious and power-hungry. The captain suggests they divide the new planet into four areas and each of them rule as dictators--"The ones that are coming will be our slaves!" As the new spaceships land, the astronauts stand ready with their blaster guns to control the masses that will descend. Then the doors open and out come mutated lizard-humans: "their newly acquired scales glistening in the soft light...the females carring baskets of eggs in which to incubate the young of the next generation..." - Chris Brown.
Notes: No fantasy, mystery, or horror elements; reads more like a crime story.
