Notes: Excelently paced and, I'm quite sure, plotted by Ditko as well. The hints are in the story. the visual motif of a character transforming his appearance, the general public duped by the alien menace, espeically the name of the TV personality (don't have the book with me, but it was a typical odd sounding Ditko name). The artwork is as detailed and exciting as the story. My guess is Ditko plottted this story out and Stan provided the dialogue. I suspect there was a lot of give and take in this period and the genesis of Lee and Ditko plotting out stories began here. I'm sure Stan was acceptable to any ideas and the Marvel Method may very well have grown from these stories. I don't think every early story was a Ditko plot, but some, such as this one, practically scream Ditko influence. - Nick Caputo.
