Notes: Stan Lee loved to write the devil himself into his stories. This is one of the earliest
appearances of Mephisto, but the story itself is unsigned. There's more typically Lee
stuff... such as adressing the readerr directly in the first caption: "Read on, foolish
mortal..." - Ger Apeldoorn.

Notes: This text story uses another typical Stan Lee trick... he liked to start his stories with a pre-
action, something exciting that happens before the real story starts. Here, he helps
someone escape from a German prison before telling the story of one of his more daring
adventures. - Ger Apeldoorn.

Notes: The story is signed Klein and Sekowsky, but I was under the impression Sekowsky always
pencilled. The art doesn't look like his, though. - Ger Apeldoorn.
